The general objective of the project is to make the necessary developments so that the production version of the Excom-Siroco Planning model (ExSp) allows for separate consideration of market revenues from the upward and downward reserves auctions in the optimization process, in order to adapt the tool to the new design of the Secondary Regulation Service.
Layman's summary: This project is part of the developments of the Excom-Siroco Planning (ExSP) model, which allows for the planning of the operation of the entire generation portfolio of Endesa in the Iberian Peninsula, taking into account both the energy market and the secondary regulation reserve market. The generation units are modeled with a high level of detail (thermal group and hydraulic turbine) in a coordinated manner with the other models developed by the same IIT team (EXCOM and EXLA models).
